We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Front Desk
- Greet and check-in members and guests.
- Ensure data collection and enforcement of data collection policy.
- Give facility orientations and belay checks.
- Operate cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain knowledge of gym programs and products.
- Answer phones take/check/respond to messages, schedule groups, parties, students for classes/events.
- Maintain a clean and organized gym environment for all customers and staff.
- Fill in as needed to teach beginning and intermediate climbing classes based on experience and skill.
Wages:
$15/Hour
Hours:
Part-time, evening availability, must be able to work at least two weekends per month.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a strong work ethic and good communication skills. Must be efficient and able to work on a reliable schedule. Applicants should have a positive attitude, be quick problem solvers, and work well with others. Previous climbing experience is desired, but we seek to find staff who are willing to learn and further develop their customer service and overall climbing skills. We are a small team so flexibility and a strong desire to work are a must. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite beneficial.
Summit Everett Youth Instructor
Job Position: Summit Everett is currently seeking part time youth climbing instructors. We are a small community gym that seeks to create a vibrant and welcoming environment for all climbers. We are looking for outgoing, professional people with a passion for working with youth. Candidates will have a passion for climbing and enjoy working in customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a positive, professional appearance to all customers who come into Summit Everett.
- Monitor classes to ensure a safe climbing environment.
- Perform general cleaning after each climbing class
- Fit students for rental gear.
- Provide organized climbing instruction in a positive and safe atmosphere.
- Explain and demonstrate climbing equipment, techniques, and hand and feet climbing methods.
- Promote and sell youth programs within the facility and community.
- Implement youth climbing class curriculum for beginners, intermediate, and advanced climbers.
Qualifications:
- Good customer service skills
- Good organizational skills
- Weekend and evening availability
- Demonstrated proficiency in indoor climbing at the minimum grades of V2 and 5.10c.
- Previous youth and/or climbing instruction experience is preferred
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications is a plus
